Position Summary

Position Summary

To develop, implement, and coordinate an approach to all aspects of asset management for our "hard asset" business units with an initial focus on construction, light industrial, and automotive equipment with the objective to enhance our go-to-market residual strategies that allow GreatAmerica to compete effectively while maintaining prescribed residual realization targets. This will require a significant amount of independent learning and training using internal and external resources, some of which have been identified. Additionally, there will be a need to identify, secure, and build relationships with external resources to aid in the execution of the approach and to maximize our loss recovery on the broader portfolio.

Duties and Responsibilities

+ Continuous evaluation of residual assumptions and performance

+ Instrumental in development and continual evaluation of residual policies relative to hard assets

+ Develop methodology/philosophy for setting residuals (e.g. - assigning a "score" to the various sources of asset value data)

+ Build matrices for new programs & equipment types

+ Instrumental in working with business units in development of residual lease programs

+ Development of program-specific repossession and remarketing procedures when appropriate

+ Monitor external data and secondary market trends to evaluate residual assumptions on an ongoing basis

+ Develop KPI's and monitoring system, in addition to the external data above, to be able to predict future performance of our booked residual exposures; identify and develop exit strategies where appropriate

+ Manage all phases of the equipment repossession and remarketing process effectively and timely while maximizing recoveries on equipment sales

+ Actively engage remarketers and vendors to evaluate remarketing actions taken, adjust price or method of sale (i.e. wholesale, retail, auction, etc.)

+ Negotiate sale of assets with manufacturers/distributors/vendors/lessees while giving consideration for unique circumstances

+ Complete periodic off-site physical inventory audits of our remarketers

+ Regular reporting and evaluation of remarketing performance by program, remarketer, asset class, manufacturer, etc.

+ Lives the GreatAmerica principles; gets involved in cross functional team efforts as assigned and required

+ Performs other duties as required

Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business.

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of leasing experience or related experience preferred. Professional certification is a plus.

Skills and Abilities

Computer Skills: Adept in Microsoft Excel and T-value and Skilled in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Power Point, Outlook, etc.

+ Must have the ability to provide solutions and excellent customer service to both internal and external customers
